RECEIPT PRINTER SETUP


DO NOT PLUG YOUR EPSON RECEIPT PRINTER INTO YOUR COMPUTER UNTIL THESE INSTRUCTIONS TELL YOU TO!!!!!

FOLLOW THESE STEPS FOR EACH EPSON RECEIPT PRINTER

Note: Disable your AntiVirus Software before performing download.

UNZIP EPSON DRIVERS

At your Windows Desktop, double the File, “APD_406ewm”.

At the “Open File Security Warning”, choose Run.

At the WinZip Self Extractor Screen, click “Browse” and choose “Desktop”

Then, click “Unzip” 2 files will be unzipped.

Click OK.

Click “Close” to go back to your Windows Desktop.

INSTALL DRIVERS

At your Windows Desktop, double-left click “ADP_406e”.

At the Install Shield Wizard, click “Next”.

Accept the License Agreement and click “Next”.

At the Setup Type Screen, make sure “Standard” is selected and click “Next”.

At the Printer Configuration Screen, click “Add”.

At the Add Printer Screen, for the three Fields, choose the following:

Select Driver: Epson TM-T88iv Receipt Printer (should be already selected)

Printer Name: Remove what is there and type in lower case: rec

Port Type: Create a USB Port

Do not set as the Default Printer and click “Next”.

At Printer Configuration Screen, make sure “rec” is highlighted as the printer to configure and click “Next”.

At the Start Copying Files Screen, click Next.

The Setup Status Screen will appear and show you the progress of the files that are being installed.

At the Install Wizard Complete Screen, click “Finish”.

Reboot your Computer.

When your Computer is rebooted, plug the Epson Receipt Printer in a USB Port and turn it on.

At the bottom-left of your Screen, click Start, Control Panel, Printers and Faxes and make sure the printer “rec” is listed.

If you do not see “rec” listed, or you do not see any printers listed, follow these steps:

1.) Click: Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services Print Spooler

2.) Make sure “Service Status” is “Started”.

3.) If it is not “Started”, click “Start” and then click “OK”. Exit back to the Windows Desktop, go back into Printers, and see if “rec” is there. If it is not there, call Gordon at 954-933-0576.

If “rec” is listed under Printers, exit back to your Windows Desktop.

If you wish, you can erase the six files that you put on your Windows Desktop for this setup.
